A few months ago, BS Teile Center brought revealed an upgrade kit for the AMG GT-R with no less than 903 horsepower under the hood. Now, the tuner has focused its attention on the GLE 400, and while the package offered for the SUV is not as impressive as the one for the sports car, it still adds another 100 horses under the hood and gives the exterior a more AMG-ish feeling.

From factory, the Mercedes-Benz GLE 400 is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine that delivers a total of 329 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. As you can imagine, these numbers are not exactly appropriate for a luxury SUV, so the German tuner BS Teile Center had to do something about it. With the use of a stage 1 software upgrade, the V-6 now delivers a total of 420 horsepower. And, if you think that the extra almost 100 horsepower is not enough, you need to remember that with this update the GLE 400 is now a lot more powerful than the old GLE 43 AMG which only delivered 384 horsepower, and only 9 horsepower less powerful than the current GLE 53 AMG.

When it comes to the exterior look the tuner wanted to give the GLE 400 a more AMG feeling. So, the tuner updated the look with a new front bumper with large air inlets, and a new rear bumper with the signature central diffuser that frames the new black AMG double tailpipes. Also, all the elements that used to be offered in chrome or in aluminum - like the strips on the bumpers and doors, the radiator grille, the handle strips, and the entire footboards are now finished in black. The car is finished in a very cool gray combined with a Toxic Green finish applied to the BSTC-Performance lettering on the flanks and the contrasting strips on the front and rear of the SUV.

The SUV also received a new set of 21-inch alloy wheels in cross-spoke design and featuring a very cool black finish. They are wrapped in 295/35ZR21 Pirelli Scorpion tires. There is also a high-performance braking system that includes 6-piston fixed calipers grip perforated and slotted brake discs measuring 390 mm in diameter on the front axle and floating calipers act on 345 mm discs at the rear. The brake calipers are finished in the same Toxic Green paint for even better contrast.
