The 2023 CT4-V Blackwing Special Edition models celebrate Cadillac's racing dominance at three of America's iconic racetracks.

Cadillac's IMSA racing prominence is very evident with the automaker bagging 24 wins and 84 podiums since 2017 in the track-focused DPi-V.R sports prototype racing car. And investing more into the IMSA racing series, Cadillac recently showcased the wicked new Project GTP hypercar that will take part in the IMSA Sportscar Championship starting from 2024.

And so, to celebrate its victory runs at IMSA, Cadillac has launched three cool 2023 CT4-V Blackwing Track Edition models. Each of these IMSA models is themed after three iconic American racetracks - Sebring, Watkins Glen, and Road Atlanta.

All the unique bits on these models are confined to visual appearance packages inside-out but further, elevate their uniqueness with various bits all around. This trio of track-inspired special edition models is the third on the list of the Collector Series. The prior ones included 250 units of the V-Series Collector's Series that were introduced last year with the launch of the Blackwing models; and the recently introduced120th Anniversary Edition model of the CT5-V Blackwing.

Apart from the slew of unique visual bits, Cadillac has also equipped the Track edition models with the $4,350 Carbon Fiber 1 and $2,650 Carbon Fiber 2 packages as standard. The prices are yet to be disclosed but each of the three IMSA Track Edition Caddies will be limited to just 99 units.

The 2023 CT4-V Blackwing Special Edition models celebrate Cadillac's racing dominance at three of America's iconic racetracks - Sebring, Watkins Glen, and Road Atlanta.

The Sebring IMSA Edition gets a sinister dark Maverick Noir Frost paint job and celebrates Cadillac's wins at the Twelve Hours of Sebring. The dark exterior shade was selected to depict the race-end scenario which happens late at night. Contrasting the dark exterior are Tech Bronze brake calipers.

The exterior is also garlanded with Cadillac Racing Mondrian decals on the hood and doors, along with IMSA logos on the front splitter and the rear spoiler (these bits are common across the limited edition model range. It also gets a Sebring track outline decal stuck on the rear quarter glass which is a cool touch.

The interior syncs with the dark exterior and gets black upholstery with unique Adrenaline Red or Sky Cool Gray inserts. The interior also gets cool bits like special sill plates, a serial plate on the steering wheel, a Collector's Series builder plate with a unique serial number on the B-pillar, and carbon fiber front seatbacks. (these bits also happen to be common across the board).

The Watkins Glen IMSA Edition happens to be the most vibrant of the lot. It is finished in an Electric blue shade which happens to be inspired by the light blue guardrails surrounding the Watkins Glen track. Contrasting the electric blue paint job are blacked-out wheels and royal blue brake calipers.

All the cool decal sets and IMSA logos are seen here as well. It also shares the same interior color options as the Sebring Edition with black upholstery garlanded with Signet or Sky Cool Gray accents. All other interior coolness is shared across the board.

The third Special edition model has a porcelain-like hue to the exterior which is a shade of white and Cadillac calls it Rift Metallic. This bright paint job has been used to depict the "bright" environment on the Road Atlanta racetrack that shines forth with the sun hitting on the elevated track design.

The Road Atlanta IMSA Edition is unique because it gets the most number of contrasting exterior elements including Radiant Red mirror caps, red accents on the side skirts, and Edge Red brake calipers. The decal and other special touches on the exterior are the same as other models.

The rear quarter panel also gets an outline sticker of the Road Atlanta racetrack. As for the interior, it gets wrapped in the same black upholstery layout but gets a new insert option apart from the Sky Cool Gray, with Adrenaline Red.

The unique bits on all these three IMSA Track Edition models by Cadillac are confined to aesthetics alone. This means that the wicked twin-turbo 3.6-Liter V6 motor remains unchanged and continues to churn out 472 hp and 445 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to the rear wheels only via either a standard six-speed manual (Godly!) or the 10-speed automatic transmission. At its prime when equipped with the stick-shift, the 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing does 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of over 189 mph. So, there will clearly be no dearth of grins here!

The Watkins Glen IMSA Edition will be the first to see the light with production set to start somewhere between October and December. Next up will be the sinister Sebring IMSA Edition with production planned from January 2023.

The bright and vivid Road Atlanta IMSA Edition will be the last to grace us with production slated for February 2023. Cadillac has not enlightened us with the prices of its cool Blackwing track edition models, but we know that each of them will be limited to just 99 units. So, expect these Blackwings to carry a major premium as compared to the "standard" CT4-V Blackwings.
