The Polestar 1 is perhaps one of the most distinctive cars released in recent memory and a particularly intriguing example is looking for a new home.

This 1 has been listed up for sale through HGreg Motorcars in Pompano Beach, Florida and has only ever been driven 1,091 miles (1,755 km). It carries an asking price of $123,900, which is a reasonable discount from its original $156,500 MSRP.

Immediately making this Polestar 1 stand out from most others you’ll see is the gorgeous matte black paintwork. Matte black obviously isn’t to everyone’s tastes but we think it works quite well on the sleek two-door hybrid and has been neatly matched with black badges, a black grille, and gloss black wheels. The only areas of color on the exterior of the car are the yellow brake calipers, yellow valve caps on the tire, turn signals, and the taillights.

The interior is also dominated by black. Indeed, the center console, door panels, steering wheel, and seats and clad in black leather while plush black carpeting is also found throughout. A raft of carbon fiber parts are also found in the cabin, including across the dashboard and through the door panels. The crystal shifter used by the Polestar 1, and various other Volvo models, also catches the eye.

It’s not just the sleek exterior and luxurious interior that make the Polestar special. The 1 is powered by a turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder pumping out 340 hp. The car also has two electric motors on the rear axle, a third electric motor attached to the engine, and a 34 kWh battery pack. All in, it pumps out a total of 592 hp and 738 lb-ft (1,100 Nm) of torque. The complex adjustable Ohlins dampers further add to the driving experience.
