Titled as SuperBusa, this Suzuki Hayabusa from UK-based TTS Performance gets a supercharged engine capable of producing 370 hp of power.
The Suzuki Hayabusa might not be holding the title of the world’s fastest motorcycle anymore, as it used to do in the early 21st century with its first-ever iteration. However, over the years, the bulbous sport-tourer from Suzuki has become one of the most accomplished motorcycles mechanically. The third-generation version of the Hayabusa continues the legacy, but it is not something that pushed the envelope much in terms of overall performance. It is why TTS Performance From the UK went an extra mile and came up with this – a supercharged version of the Suzuki Hayabusa.
Named TTS SuperBusa, this supercharged version of the Suzuki Hayabusa was already in the works for a long time. The SuperBusa is what most motoring enthusiasts were anticipating from Suzuki – an all-new generation model of Hayabusa with a supercharged engine. TTS Performance will make 40 examples of the SuperBusa conversion kits, each of which carries a sticker price of £30,000 (around $34,800 excluding VAT and motorcycle) and will take around 16 weeks for delivery to the end customer.

When the third-gen Suzuki Hayabusa was about to arrive globally, many people began anticipating it to be a supercharged beast with industry-best power and torque outputs. Various analysts believed that this touted supercharging technology might help the Hayabusa regain the title of the speed king. However, all those claims went into the drain when the third-gen model debuted with a ‘mere’ 187 hp engine. Thanks to TTS Performance, those hopes remained alive as the SuperBusa gets a Rotrex supercharger installed.
With this Rotrex supercharger attached, the inline-four 1340cc engine of the TTX SuperBusa produces a whopping power output of 370 hp – almost double the stock version. The peak torque output has also shot up to 190 lb-ft from 110.6 lb-ft. With this boost in power and torque, the TTS SuperBusa is expected to break the quarter-mile record of the supercharged second-gen Hayabusa prepared by TTS Performance in the past. That model did a 9.1-second quarter mile, and TTS Performance is expected to do the same under 9 seconds with the SuperBusa. Adding in all the aerodynamic tweaks to its design, TTS Performance expects the SuperBusa to attain a top speed of 220 mph.
In addition to the Rotrex supercharger for the fully-forged engine of the SuperBusa, TTS Performance has added a few more elements to ensure that the performance feels even livelier. The motorcycle also features Woolich Racing electronics, which enables it to have its power limited in the lower gears for faster acceleration. It has helped TTS Performance in fully optimizing the supercharger package.
The TTS SuperBusa also gets a host of tweaked mechanicals to adapt to the boost in performance of the motorcycle. The list includes a custom single-sided swingarm, a single-sided Brocks performance exhaust system, lightweight brakes – StopTech front disc and TTS rear disc, re-valved front suspension, and titanium fasteners. For an added premium, the buyer can opt for more premium Brembo brake calipers and Ohlins TTX36 mono-shock at the rear. TTS Performance hasn’t disclosed the changes in the curb weight of the motorcycle, which could have given us a better understanding of the power-to-weight ratio of the SuperBusa.

Richard Albans, the founder of TTS Performance, wanted something more special to be done with the Hayabusa than just putting up a supercharger. It is the 40th anniversary of TTS Performance, and to commemorate this feat, it collaborated with Kardesign Koncepts to alter the SuperBusa's design.
The TTS SuperBusa comes garnished with a lot of carbon, indicating that this motorcycle means serious business. In addition to the carbon fiber wheels from Rotobox, which come adorned with red accents, the SuperBusa also features a carbon fiber finish on the front winglets, fuel tank vents, and the upper chain cover. At the launch event, the front winglets on the display motorcycle were not the ones made of carbon fiber, though TTS has confirmed that the kits meant for sale will get those. Prospective buyers can choose from ten different paint schemes, one of which is an exclusive GSXR-inspired livery from Kardesign Koncepts.
Despite the changes in its mechanical setup, the TTS SuperBusa looks proportional and doesn’t have that out-of-the-place visual appeal from any angle. To make the motorcycle look seamless and muscular, TTS Performance has placed the intercooler of the SuperBusa under the fuel tank, whereas air gets directed via carbon fiber ducts within the fuel tank. The motorcycle also gets a custom black tinted visor above the headlamp for enhanced aerodynamics.
