Jon Pumfrey reimagines this MKIV Toyota Supra to near perfection with a custom Varis body kit and several other aesthetic improvements.

Toyota's Supra A80 is arguably many things. It's an archetypal 90s JDM hero, supercar slayer, and the most revered version of the iconic Supra model line.

Whatever your opinion on the A80 Supra, it is highly valued today among many a gearhead. With that in mind, there are always some who seek to further develop and enhance the classic shape and mechanicals of the Toyota Supra just like its contemporary peers such as the Nissan Skyline and Mazda RX-7.

Where there are renders there are 90s Japanese sports cars and today’s inspiration render comes courtesy of dm_jon on their Instagram page. Let's look at the highlights.

Firstly, today’s prolific digital artisan has made an interesting job of this custom Supra A80 concept. Its body kit endows the 90s JDM sports car with a vibe that harks back to a time when Gran Turismo was in the headlines.

It appears in white with aero and body panels that build on the original exterior design. These change it from a street racer to a Grand Tourer racer with a plethora of parts to increase downforce at speed.

Up front, there is a splitter and some trim pieces in carbon fiber that look awesome. The LED headlights and a large portion of the front bumper help with induction, radiator cooling, air flow, and brake cooling with large air exits behind the front wheels.

Toyo tires are present with lime-green brake calipers. The wing mirrors are also tasteful and look aerodynamic too.

Inside, the green highlights continue with the front seats clad in bright green upholstery. Moving to the back of the car shows a huge GT1-style wing. There's also more carbon fiber around the rear with a now much-longer overhang. The blue-tipped double exit exhaust in the center is an interesting addition.

We like the chunky rear end and exposed tires that still retain the classic Supra design much like the rest of the car.

Many consider the most desirable Supra the A80-generation with the twin-turbo, 3-liter straight six engine with up to around 330 HP. This looks like it is race ready with a 500-HP racing-grade motorsports engine. But for now, we’ll have to speculate what’s under the hood.
